Geneva Library Foundation Expands Ways to Give

Perhaps you and your family have enjoyed the Geneva Public Library's diverse resources and programs as a member of our community or you would just like to assure that this historic legacy thrives for generations to come. Supporting the future of the Library has never been easier.

The Geneva Library Foundation now offers several convenient ways to give. The “Donate Now” button to the left now allows you to conveniently donate using a credit card or bank transfer. More sophisticated forms of support, including named beneficiaries, bequests and charitable trusts, are now possible, as well.

Another option is to name the Geneva Library Foundation as a beneficiary in your estate planning. If this is something you might consider, the Foundation has prepared a brochure describing how this form of “planned giving” can provide a permanent source of support for the Library in a way that can also provide tax savings to you. This brochure is available in the Library and at the bottom of this article in PDF format. As with any issues related to estate planning, you are encouraged to review this option with your tax and legal advisers. Representatives of the Geneva Library Foundation are available to discuss this topic with you and your advisers.

The Geneva Library Foundation is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. With a goal of raising $1 million by 2016 and $2 million by 2021, we are committed to providing a substantial, permanent, and stable source of funds to support the Geneva Public Library. Support the Foundation, make your tax deductible donation today!
